Description

• Rectangular, square, round, oval, and odd
  shaped copper tops are available in almost any
  size. Rectangular tops are available up to 25 feet
  long. Square and round tops are available up to
  8 feet wide.
• Standard size copper tops are listed in the price
  list; however, custom sizes (THC-7) are available
  to go with custom sized table bases.
• Odd shapes (i.e. kidney shaped) require the
  customer to provide a template.
• Kitchen counter tops are priced the same way as
  custom table tops (THC-7).
• Corners are rounded and free of sharp edges.
• Custom edge thicknesses are available.

Materials

The copper is sealed with clear paste wax which is the correct and proper sealer for copper. Periodic waxing is required by the customer to keep the
copper sealed and protected. Care tags are hung from each piece of furniture to instruct the customer how to care for and maintain the copper. The copper can be sealed with lacquer clear coat sealer upon request (but it is not recommended).

The nature of the hammering is critical as to how the copper wears. The Copper Instincts copper is hand-hammered using the optimal depth and spacing for preserving the appearance of the copper over time with use, scratching, and abrasion, while also allowing one to easily write on a sheet of paper on the same copper surface. Beware of other manufacturers’ copper that is not optimally hammered, or not hammered at all, as it will scratch and abrade across the entire surface leaving ugly scars.

If the copper gets scratched or stained simply leave it alone and the original colors will gradually return with exposure to air. Once the colors return then the copper should be waxed to re-seal it to help prevent future stains.
